Jacoby Shaddix Wants to Rob Liquor Stores?

Sunday, July 29th, 2007

In a recent interview, “Scarred” host Jacoby Shaddix revealed what life would be like if he wasn’t working: “I don’t like to take days off. Left to my own devices I’d … rob liquor stores.” Okayy??? Someone give this guy a microphone and make sure he never lets go; the consequences could be disastrous! Shaddix further elaborates:

Now that unfiltered passion connecting with MTV viewers who watch Shaddix host the network’s traumatic injury clip show “Scarred.”

And like a true exhibitionist, Shaddix eagerly shares his own scar stories. Like the circumcision bit.

Or the time he was six and fell off a rocking horse suspended by a spring.

“I fell down and the spring pierced through my nipple,” Shaddix says.

He hung there, suspended by the spring until his father realized what happened and freed him.

“It was my first piercing,” Shaddix says with some
twisted pride.

Frightening! I suppose he’s well suited to host “Scarred.”

Jacoby Shaddix Is a Crowd Pleaser

Though MTV audiences know him most recently as the host from “Scarred,” Jacoby Shaddix is–in fact–in a band (obvs!). Yes, he’s the frontman of Papa Roach, and he apparently had a wild weekend. Here’s one account of a recent tour stop in Evansville, Indiana:

Third [up to play] was the hardcore Papa Roach, a group best known for its 2000 hit “Last Resort” and featuring a style that’s part punk rock, part heavy metal and part post-grunge.

The four-piece band, clad in all-black, was the most active on stage, with gyrating lead singer Jacoby Shaddix seeming to teeter on the edge of becoming destructive during the song “Getting Away with Murder.”

After that song, though, Shaddix kept the crowd involved. That excitement came roaring back when Shaddix took off into the seats at Roberts Stadium, where he was mobbed by some adoring female fans. You couldn’t tell what he was singing, but it didn’t matter.

He was on the edge of becoming destructive, eh? We sure wouldn’t want him to get “Scarred.” (These MTV puns are not stopping.)
