Monday, August 27th, 2007

A story popped up on my radar and I’m not really sure what to make of it. Apparently, the show “MADE” was shooting at North Side High School in Jackson, TN, but producers cancelled the planned followup filming on Friday. The story says that “Interim Principal Jan Watson said Thursday that a producer notified her that MTV wasn’t coming, but she did not know why.”

Remember this post I wrote last week about how “MADE” is casting for its new season? Well, MTV.com has finally caught on, and they posted the official notice at their website. Their looking for teens with goals, but here’s what they plan to focus on this season:

Become Homecoming King or Queen
Tryout for a Fall Sports team
Fashion Designers
Make the Fall Musical
Perform at your school talent show
Go from Geek to Chic
Finally get on the winter sports team at your school
Tryout for the local hockey team
Learn how to ice skate
Be a mad snowboarder
Be a boxer
Learn Karate

Uh, haven’t we ween basically every one of these episodes before? I want to see crazy goals! Some type of “Jackass” and “MADE” hybrid show would be nice.

“Made” Scouts For Its New Season

Saturday, July 21st, 2007

Bryce Fallon (pictured above with cameraman), a student at Silver Lake High School in Massachusetts, was recently selected as a candidate for an episode of “Made.” As you all surely known, “Made” takes teenagers with dreams and works with them to make the dream a reality. Bryce Fallon’s dream was to become a ballroom dancer, so MTV sent out a partial film crew to test the waters. The main purpose of this audition of sorts was to collect video so that producers could decide whether or not to press ahead with Bryce’s episode.

It all started Wednesday night, according to Fallon. “The guy who was going to film me, Ritesh Gupta, came over. He explained what was going to go on and the shots he would need for the night,” Fallon said. “He shot me and my mom eating dinner and just doing our normal routine. We did have some shots he had to get in, such as me talking to my mom about my goal, me dancing the way I regularly do, me attempting to ballroom dance with my mom. He did some interview questions with my mom as well as me, which wrapped up the evening. All three of us we’re tired, but satisfied.”
